I've eaten too much!

Not a bad Christmas. Quiet, but it was still fun. Caroline (younger sibling) was at my parents house when I arrived. Paul (older sibling) is in New Zealand, though he'll be on his way to Sydney (that's in Australia, Geography buffs) for New Years. He quit his job back in the summer and is backpacking round the far east with a friend.

I'd like to do it, but I don't like the idea of chucking my job in (which is ridiculous considering how dead-end and crap it is) and my savings wouldn't probably stretch much more than to a day-return to Bognor. Anyway, back to Christmas at my parents. It was the usual round of too much drink, too much food and too much bad telly. Got a digital radio, which was nice. It can pick up more stations than my normal radios so it gives me more to listen too.

Anyway, that's all that's happened. I'm off work till the new year (they weren't happy about that, but, well, sod em). Christmas is for the family, New Year is for your friends. Me and Sabby are heading up to London for New Year's. She has an uncle up there who will be up in Scotland over the weekend, but will let us crash there after we've been out on the town all night. Debbie isn't coming as she's off on her own at some family do. I think Sabby is a little miffed about it, though she's hiding it. Never mind, we'll have fun with a few drinks inside us.

At the moment I'm in this strange zone between Christmas and New Year. It's not one or the other. Very odd. Anyway, Colin is just finishing his bath so time for some fun. Bye Bye!

She lives!

Well, now I know it looks like I'm losing interest in my new blog, but I'm not. I've been busy. No stop laughing I have! I want to update a load of links and stuff, but at the moment updating the blog itself is more important.

I'm back on the day shift! Thank God for that. I have added respect for anyone who doesn't do nine-to-five and especially those who work through the night. How do you put up with it? The downside is that I'm working tomorrow. ARRGGGHH!!! In fact, I only get Sunday off until Christmas Eve. No way am I working that! Not because I'm that religious, but that is time for the family. Got most of my presents, but I will have to spend most of Sunday fighting some mad old bag to the last decent present in John Lewis or Debenhams no doubt.

My parents live a little way out in the countryside. I couldn't live there full time, too much of a town girl, but a few days decompressing there will be lovely. My Dad is going to give me a lift which is very nice as public transport is non-existant at the best of time and on Christmas Eve? Forget it.

So anyway, me and Sabby are having as much of a night out as we can. Out early and back early. I should be getting ready, but I'm here typing this instead. It doesn't matter, Sabby takes geological ages to get ready and she's not even home yet.

Colin has promised an evening in on Tuesday when he gets back and he's said he'll cook a meal. I've never seen him do anything other than bung ready meals in the microwave, so this will be... interesting. Never mind. There's a pizza shop and two chippies withing two minutes of my flat.

Mid-week boredom

Yeah, I know I've not been on for a few days, but to be honest not much has been going on. Still stuck on the bloody evening shift which is an absolute pain. I suppose the one advantage is that I only have to deal with Mrs Bitch Face for the first couple of hours because she then leaves for the day and the evening boss is much more relaxed.

Colin is off yet again. He should be able to switch positions at the company after Christmas at some point and be around on a more regular basis. He's hinted that he wants to find a place with me then. Dunno if I'm ready for that step, but we can cross that bridge when it comes.

So the only other thing of note is a bit of telly I just got home in time to see yesterday. I'm not that fascinated by Reality TV, but I did watch 'Space Cadets'. The first episode wasn't fantastic, but I am fascinated to see if they really do con these people into believing they've been launched into space. According to some people on Digitalspy's forums it might be a double-bluff and a con on the audience. Time will tell.

The Four Partygirls of the Apocalypse

Good morning, (well, okay, it's just the afternoon, but as far as I'm concerned it's still morning).

Rolled in to home about 7pm yesterday, still shattered from the weekend so it was just a long bath and then off to bed for me really. As I thought I would I did skip work Friday, hope I was convincing enough on the phone and not too theatrical, and then it was off with Debbie and Sabby to Lisa's place. Debbie was giving us a lift in her car which didn't sound too healthy, but it held together for the weekend.

Admittedly, Lisa's birthday wasn't until the Sunday, but we got started early. A day and a half early. Frankly I was just following Lisa most of the time as she knows the area far better than I do. After a couple of nice little pubs we ended up in a club which looks a bit of a hole to be honest, but had the right atmosphere. Had a good time, had to beat the local boys off with a stick. None of them got close to Colin in sexiness or style, but it's a nice ego boost anyway. Watching the totally doomed attempts by some of them to pick up Sabby and/or Debbie were a laugh. The guys couldn't work out why me and Lisa found their efforts to pick them up so funny.

We got back to Lisa's place on Saturday morning eventually and we just crashed until mid-afternoon. Me and Sabby and Debbie were all in the spare room. They had one single bed to themselves and I had the other one. Though they didn't seem to mind. I woke up some point after midday and just listened as they kissed and carressed each other under their duvet. I must admit it was erotic just listening to them even though, or maybe because, I couldn't see or hear that much at all. I was a bit of a bitch though as a couple of times I did stir deliberatly and they'd stop and wait to see if I had 'woken' up. :)

Most of the afternoon we all did passable impersonations of the walking dead before we pulled ourselves together and went out again meeting up with a couple more of Lisa's friends. This time we hit a pub doing a karaoke night, horribly embarressed Lisa by getting the whole place to sing Happy Birthday while she was stood on the bar. Before me and Debbie massacred our way through some of Abba's finest.

So all in all a very good weekend. After that I'm not feeling like work at all, but then I never do.

I did log on briefly last night and saw I'd got my very first comment on my posts from WDKY, who has a really great blog here Well worth a read and thanks for the nice words!

Pulling a fast one

Up at an unfeasibly early hour (for me). Trying to decide what to do tonight. Everybody else wants to head up to Lisa's town about 7pm tonight, but of course, I'm working until 8pm and then I have to get ready. So I think I feel a cold coming on and might not be able to go to work today. Poor me.

Knowing my luck though Mrs Bitch Face lives next door to Lisa.

Just looking at yesterday's entry and I called 'Ann Summers' 'Victoria's Secret'. Dunno why. Brain rot must be setting in earlier than I expected.

Plans and Parties

I know it looks like I'm failing to keep the blog going so soon after it's started, but I've got a good excuse. Well, a reasonable one.

Mrs Bitch Face has put me on the evening shift. That means I have the mornings free and then work until 8pm and I'm stuck in the cards department which is deadly dull. I'll probably be fired after Christmas anyway. There's always a cull after the holidays. Victoria's Secret is hiring and I must admit I'm tempted, though it might not be as much fun working there as shopping there. It's weird getting up, doing the chores and lazing about for a few hours and then going to work. Don't think I'll get used to it and I don't want to. I'll take the money until Christmas and then if I'm not thrown out I'll try and wangle a position in another department. If I can't do that then I'll start job hunting in earnest. There. I have a plan. You can't often say that of me!

Lisa's birthday is on Sunday so me, Sabby and Debbie are going over to her place for the weekend. She lives in a fairly small town so I expect not much of it will be left standing come Monday :-)
